Translation and localization crowdsourcing is a localization business module that has been adopted by lots of companies to save translation budget and build a better user community.

Through a case study of the Coursera’s global translator community and a proposal to help Akaba Studio carry out translation crowdsourcing, I will present my knowledge about the translation & localization crowdsourcing in this page.

For my case study of Coursera’s translation crowdsourcing model, I make two infographics to show what methods are adopted by Coursera to achieve high translation quality and quantity.

Translation Crowdsourcing Proposal to Akaba Studio

Akaba Studio is a Chinese game developer. To help Akaba Studio build a volunteer translator community from scratch, my teammate and I come up with a business proposal and the supporting documents shown below.

The proposal contains the reason for Akaba Studio to carry out translation crowdsourcing, recommendations for source content, and strategies to improve translation quality and quantity. The supporting documents include infographics about methods for translation quality and quantity, and volunteer recruitment materials.
